United Airlines in recent weeks filed aircraft changes for flights between the US and Tokyo Narita for Northern summer 2025 season. By May 2025, the Star Alliance carrier will no longer operate 777-200ER aircraft at least for the summer season to Tokyo Narita.

Houston – Tokyo Narita eff 29MAR25 787-9 replaces 777-200ER, 1 daily
Newark – Tokyo Narita eff 29MAR25 787-9 replaces 777-200ER, 1 daily
San Francisco – Tokyo Narita eff 02MAY25 777-300ER replaces -200ER, 1 daily
