SAA Adds Leased SunExpress Boeing 737 From late-Oct 2023

South African Airways (SAA) from late-October 2023 is adding leased Boeing 737-800 aircraft from SunExpress to support its operation, mainly operating domestic service.

The Star Alliance carrier currently leases 737-300 aircraft from Africa Charter Airlines on selected Cape Town and Durban route. This is currently scheduled until 31OCT23 inclusive. In the OAG schedules listing as of 01OCT23, SAA lists Airbus A320 aircraft leased from SunExpress, however actual operating aircraft based on available flights for booking is showing 737-800.
