Air China Resumes Toronto Service in 2Q25 After 33-year Hiatus

Air China today (27MAR25) opened reservations for Beijing Capital – Toronto passenger service, marking the return of the carrier’s passenger service at Toronto since November 1992. From 20MAY25, the Star Alliance member will serve this route twice weekly with 3-class 777-300ER.

Air China previously operated Beijing – Shanghai – Vancouver – Toronto routing with 747SP/747-200COMBI in early-90s. As the airline adds service to Toronto, existing Beijing Capital – Vancouver route will be reduced from 4 to 2 weekly.
