Japan Airlines (JAL) in the last few days filed operational schedule to its planned service resumption of Tokyo Narita – Chicago O'Hare route. Last served until March 2023, the oneWorld member plans to resume this route on 31MAY25 on daily basis.

Operational aircraft is listed as 777-300ER based on the reservation systems, contrary to some to the claim of service being operated by 787-9.

Reservations for JL056/055 is scheduled to open around 1500LT on 12FEB25, based on the airline’s press release issued on 21JAN25. Coinciding with the service resumption, the airline’s departure time from Chicago to Tokyo Haneda will shift from noon to overnight hours, which is already reflected in the booking system.
