Press Photos: Aerus Launches Brownsville South Padre Island Service From mid-Oct 2024

Mexican carrier Aerus has filed service changes to its planned US operations. The carrier’s planned Cessna Caravan service is now scheduled to launch its US flight with Monterrey – Brownsville service on 16OCT24, instead of previously planned 12SEP24. Brownsville will be the carrier’s first US destination.

The airline will operate 6 weekly flights.

The airline has removed schedule listing for Monterrey – Corpus Christi service, previously scheduled from 12SEP24 with 4 weekly flights. On Monterrey – Laredo route, the airline tentatively files new launch date on 04NOV24 5 times weekly, instead of 12SEP24. Note reservations for Laredo are not available on the airline’s website.

Today news media partners got a first-hand look inside the comfortable aircraft cabin and got to meet Airport and Airline leadership to discuss the daily direct flight from Brownsville (BRO) to Monterrey, MX (MTY). Brownsville and South Padre Island are popular destination for Mexican nationals that want to vacation in the coast waters of the South Padre all-year long. Along with visitors, many Brownsville residents have family, friends and business relationships in the Nuevo Leon and Monterrey area. Flights start October 16, 2024, with one flight on each direction, that takes just under 1 hour.
