Indian carrier Akasa Air in late-July 2024 plans to launch Ahmedabad – Jeddah route, which would see the airline operates 2 weekly flights, with 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The carrier's overall 3rd international route is scheduled to commence on 20JUL24.

The carrier's Mumbai – Jeddah service will increase from 7 to 12 weekly from 21JUL24.
