Air Canada Express NW23 Halifax Operation Changes – 10SEP23

Air Canada in the fourth quarter of 2023 is adjusting Air Canada Express service at the Maritimes and New Foundland, as the carrier shifts selected operation from Jazz to PAL Airlines.

From 01OCT23, PAL Airlines will take overall 4 daily St. John’s NFLD – Halifax route. Currently this route is operated by Jazz and PAL Airlines 2 daily each.

Service will reduce to 3 daily from 08JAN24 as seasonal adjustment. Planned service reduction was previously scheduled to begin in November 2023.

From 01NOV23, PAL Airlines’ operation as Air Canada Express will expand, as it takes over following routes operated by Jazz:
Halifax – Deer Lake (YDF) 1 daily
Halifax – Gander (YQX) 2 daily
Halifax – Goose Bay (YYR) 1 daily
Halifax – Ottawa 1 daily

Jazz will continue to operate following service from Halifax on/after 01NOV23:
Halifax – Boston 1 daily
Halifax – Montreal 1 daily
Halifax – Newark 1 daily

Separately, Air Canada mainline has converted Halifax – Vancouver route to summer seasonal service in 2023/24, as the airline removed service between 29OCT23 and 30APR24.
