American / United 2Q23 Mainland China Service Reductions

American Airlines and United Airlines in the second quarter of 2023 revises planned operation to Mainland China. Planned changes previously not covered on AeroRoutes as follow.

From 24APR23 to 05JUN23 (US departure), American Airlines is reducing Dallas/Ft. Worth – Shanghai Pu Dong service from 4 to 2 weekly, with Boeing 777-200ER.

United Airlines’ San Francisco – Shanghai Pu Dong service, previously scheduled to increase from 4 weekly to 1 daily from 25MAR23, has been revised to 01JUL23 at earliest. Boeing 777-300ER operates this route.

Delta continues to operate 2 weekly flights each on Detroit – Shanghai Pu Dong (A350-900XWB) and Seattle – Shanghai Pu Dong (A330-900neo) route. As of 24APR23, Delta tentatively lists 1 daily flight from Seattle from 08AUG23, although only 2 weekly are available for reservation.
