Canadian ultra-low-cost carrier Swoop recently filed changes to its planned operation for Northern summer 2023 season, effective 01MAY23. Recently filed changes see the airline to shift to all-737 MAX 8 fleet from 01MAY23, as the 737-800 is scheduled until 30APR23 inclusive.

At Edmonton, the airline scaled back its operation since January 2023, and being maintained during Northern summer 2023 season. Planned operation overview from 01MAY23 as follows (frequency listed below is based on peak season in July/August):

Edmonton – Abbotsford up to 3 daily
Edmonton – Hamilton up to 2 daily
Edmonton – Las Vegas 3 weekly scheduled until 22JUN23

Despite Swoop’s downsized presence in Edmonton, parent WestJet’s will be expanding its operation, previously reported on 12FEB23 on AeroRoutes.
