Air New Zealand today (19DEC22) filed changes to its planned international service for Northern summer 2023 season, effective 26MAR23. This list excludes Trans-Tasman service, although there are notable changes.

Auckland – Apia eff 26MAR23 787-9 service increases from 1 to 3 weekly (Overall 7 weekly)
Auckland – Hong Kong 26MAR23 – 02MAY23 Reduce from 7 to 5 weekly, 787-9
Auckland – Honolulu 27JUN23 – 03AUG23 Increase from 3 to 5 weekly, 787-9
Auckland – Houston
eff 26MAR23 777-300ER replaces 787-9, 1 daily (6 weekly 06MAY23 – 16JUN23)
Auckland – Nuku’alofa eff 31MAY23 787-9 service increases from 1 to 2 weekly (Overall 6 weekly)
Auckland – Papeete
eff 19MAY23 777-300ER replaces 787-9, 2 weekly (The carrier’s 777-300ER debut in French Polynesia. 777-200ER previously served until February 2020)
21JUN23 – 09AUG23
3rd weekly flight (Day 3) available for reservation, instead of entire Northern summer season
Previously reported, Air New Zealand and Air Tahiti Nui are suspending codeshare partnership on this sector from 26MAR23

Auckland – Rarotonga
29JUN23 – 21SEP23 Day 4 service (Day 3 from RAR 28JUN23 – 20SEP23) operated by 777-300ER, instead of 787-9. Overall remains 7 weekly. The 777-300ER was last regularly served until 2020, along with 4 flights in 4Q22
Auckland – San Francisco 26MAR23 – 12MAY23 787-9 replaces 777-300ER, 5 weekly
Auckland – Shanghai Pu Dong
26MAR23 – 30APR23 Reduce from 7 to 5 weekly, 787-9 (Operation remains pending)
Auckland – Singapore
26MAR23 – 14MAY23 NZ284/283 777-300ER replaces 787-9. Previously noted 2nd daily service resumption remains unchanged
