Austrian Schedules 330-seater 777-200ER Debut in Feb 2023

Austrian Airlines in recent schedule update filed revised service entry of its planned new 330-seater Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. Previously listed from 01MAY23 as default schedule, the new 3-class configuration (C32E40M258) is now scheduled to enter service from February 2023 at earliest.

Planned roll out of 330-seater Boeing 777-200ER aircraft as of 08NOV22 as follows.

Vienna – Bangkok eff 09FEB23
Vienna – Cancun eff 12FEB23 (seasonal until 30APR23)
Vienna – Chicago O’Hare eff 02APR23
Vienna – Los Angeles eff 18MAY23
Vienna – Male eff 08FEB23
Vienna – Mauritius eff 23FEB23
Vienna – Newark eff 27MAR23
Vienna – Shanghai Pu Dong eff 24FEB23
Vienna – Tokyo Narita eff 02MAY23

Based on schedule listing as oof 08NOV22, the 306-seater (C38E24M244) 777-200ER is scheduled to operate Vienna – Shanghai Pu Dong route once weekly between 01MAY23 and 23OCT23, the sole route operated by 306-seater in Northern summer 2023 season. Shanghai is scheduled two weekly flights overall in summer season, instead of initially filed 6 weekly.
